Meet Dave Moss

After graduating from the University of Michigan and playing nine years in the NHL, Dave chose a distinct path beyond the rink, building a franchise ownership career that spans nearly a decade. Alongside his wife and business partner, Erinn, he owns and operates a thriving multi-unit, multi-brand portfolio that includes Drybar and Pure Glow. While Erinn manages the day-to-day operations, Dave provides the strategic oversight and scaling expertise to drive their ongoing growth.

THE STORY

Real Operator. Real Experience.

Dave didn’t learn franchising from a textbook; he learned it by effectively building businesses across multiple distinct brands. He started Next Path because of the growing demand for advice within his own network. Friends, family, and former teammates frequently reached out to ask how he and Erinn seamlessly navigated the transition into business ownership. They wanted to escape the corporate routine, take control of their time, and build their own businesses, but they lacked a trusted resource to help them cut through the noise and identify the right investment.

Next Path isn't about pitching franchises; it’s about providing real-world strategic perspective. The same discipline, preparation, and vision that drove Dave’s athletic and business career are what he uses to help others evaluate franchises. Whether someone is looking to transition out of the corporate world or an experienced investor wants to expand their portfolio, Dave brings the clear, firsthand perspective of an active multi-brand owner.

THE LIFE

When they aren't managing businesses, life revolves around the rink and the community. Dave stays deeply involved in youth development, coaching all four of their sons in hockey and keeping up with a relentless schedule of youth sporting events. He and Erinn also serve as board members for Hockey Has Heart, a charity dedicated to supporting hockey families facing life-altering hardships. And while it takes plenty of grit to play nine years in the NHL, Dave is well aware he isn't even the toughest person in his own house—Erinn earned that title by outlasting the competition to finish third on CBS's Survivor.
